How Tymchuk Insurance Group collects, uses and protects your information.
Effective October 2, 2026
Tymchuk Insurance Group ("we", "us") is an independent insurance agency. This policy explains what we collect when you use our website, request a quote, or buy a policy through one of our agents, and what we do with it.
Information you give us
When you fill in a quote request or speak with an agent, we collect your name, phone number, email address, date of birth, state of residence, the kind and amount of coverage you are interested in, and anything you choose to tell us in the message box or on a call.
To take an insurance application we also collect the information the carrier requires, which generally includes your address, Social Security number, beneficiary details, information about your health and medications, and the bank account you want premiums drafted from.
Some of what we collect is sensitive — health information in particular. We collect it only because an insurance application cannot be submitted without it, we use it only for that purpose, and we share it only with the carriers you are applying to.
Information we collect automatically
Our website records basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. We use a small number of cookies to keep the site working and to understand which pages people use. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not allow third parties to track you across other websites from our site.
Information from others
If you responded to an advertisement or submitted your information to a comparison site or lead provider, we receive your contact details and stated interest from them. We may also receive application status, policy and commission information from the insurance carriers we are appointed with.
How we use your information
- To respond to your request and give you a quote
- To prepare, submit and service an insurance application or policy
- To contact you by phone, text or email about your coverage
- To verify payment details before an application is submitted
- To keep records we are required to keep as a licensed agency
- To improve our website and service
Calls, texts and emails
When you check the consent box on our form, you agree that we may contact you by phone, text message and email about insurance, including by automated means. Consent is not a condition of buying anything. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can stop text messages at any time by replying STOP, and get help by replying HELP. You can ask to be removed from calls and emails by telling your agent or by using the contact details at the end of this page. We keep a record of opt-out requests so they are honored going forward.
Bank account information
Insurance premiums are drafted by the insurance carrier, not by us. When you choose to pay by bank draft, you give your routing and account number to your agent so it can be entered on the carrier's application.
Before that application is submitted, we check the routing and account number to catch mistakes that would cause your first payment to fail. That check may use a third-party account verification service. We do not store your full account number. What our system keeps is the name of your bank, the last four digits of the account, and whether the check passed. We do not use your bank account information for any purpose other than setting up the payment you asked for.
Who we share information with
We share your information with:
- Insurance carriers you are applying to, and the organizations that appoint us to those carriers, so your application can be underwritten and serviced
- Service providers who operate parts of our business for us — our website and database hosting, our email delivery provider, our text messaging provider, and our account verification provider. They may use your information only to perform that service for us
- Government agencies and regulators when the law requires it, including state insurance departments
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
How we protect it
Information is sent over encrypted connections and stored in a private database that is not open to the public internet. Access requires a named user account and a password, each person sees only what their role allows, and the full account numbers referred to above are never written to our records at all. No system is perfect, but we limit what we keep precisely so there is less to lose.
How long we keep it
We keep records of quotes and policies for as long as you are a client and afterward for as long as state insurance regulations require us to. If you asked for a quote and never became a client, you can ask us to delete your information.
Your choices
You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can opt out of texts, calls and emails at any time. Residents of some states, including California, have additional rights over their personal information; we extend the choices described here to anyone who asks, whatever state they live in. To make a request, use the contact details below. We may need to verify who you are before we act on it.
Children
Our website is not directed at children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
